The Jews gave us Saturday off.
The Christians gave us Sunday off.
The Muslims would like to give us Friday off.
Let's hear it for religious diversity!
UPDATE: The only historical attempt by atheists to establish a different calendar was the 10-day week of the French Republic, which meant one day of rest and nine days of work. Boo on atheist calendars!

The USPS is now, apparently, in partial agreement with the Jews about Saturday.
To be honest, I don't know what the status is on postal delivery on Saturdays.
