Holocaust Denial and 9/11 Truthers

Kevin Ryan wrote what I thought was a very good article, The Holocaust, Mind Control, and 9/11, part of it about the friendship he and his wife developed with a Holocaust survivor, and the other about a rather shadowy character who had been involved in carrying out government mind control experiments and now seems to be trying to infiltrate the 9/11 Truth Movement.   But then in the combox, we get to hear from a 9/11 Truther, Kevin Barrett, who has become a Holocaust denier.  And then while doing a little exploring on the internet I found out that another 9/11 Truther, Jim Fetzer, has also become a Holocaust denier.

Now I wish I could say that both Barrett and Fetzer are not real 9/11 Truthers, and that they just pretend to be.  I'm pretty sure that they occupy the fringe of the 9/11 Truth Movement (when you're in the fringe of the fringe, that can be pretty fringey.)   I know Fetzer, at least for a while, fancied Judy Wood's Directed Energy Weapons hypothesis.  And I heard part of an interview in which Barrett referred to Judy Wood with respect.  So maybe Holocaust Denial only appeals to people who are ready to accept really whacko theories like Wood's.

But what if it appeals to other, "mainstream" 9/11 Truthers, also?  For quite a while now I've just sort of glossed over the many anti-Israel, anti-Zionist comments at 9/11 Blogger, thinking it was just a few of the liberals from the Noam Chomsky camp who were willing to buck his authority, think for themselves, and become 9/11 Truthers.  But what if they start spouting Holocaust Denial?

So when anti-9/11 Truthers paint us with the broad brush of anti-Semitism or Holocaust Denial,  can I honestly say that the overwhelming majority of us are really good, and that it's only a few bad apples that are spoiling it?  To be honest, I don't know.

If  the 9/11 Truth Movement is or becomes merely another tool for anti-Semitism, then I certainly wish to leave it behind.  There are more important Truths that need looking after.

The 9/11 Joint Congressional Inquiry and 28 Missing Pages: Only the Beginning

If 9/11 Whistleblower  Kevin Ryan is correct, then the recent demand that the 28 missing pages of the  Joint Congressional Inquiry on 9/11 be revealed falls far short of what also needs to be revealed about that Inquiry.

The Curious Case of Dr. Frank Greening and 9/11 Truth

I just skimmed over a recent article at Debunking the Debunkers about the curious case of Dr. Frank Greening, who originally supported the official accounts of the collapses of the WTC buildings on 9/11,  but has since become more doubtful about them.  This explains why I have seen his name on both papers supporting the offical versions and disputing them.

Apparently he has some rather nasty things to say about a particular forum that a friend of mine frequents, as well.

Bill Moyers - The Deep State Hiding in Plain Sight

No one considers Bill Moyers to be a whacko conspiracy theorist.  And Mike Lofgren, whom he interviews in the below youtube video, denies being a conspiracy theorist, also.  Yet together they manage to reveal the strongest motives there may have been for the "Deep State" to cause the events of 9/11 to happen.  The introduction to the interview:

Mike Lofgren, a former GOP congressional staff member with the powerful House and Senate Budget Committees, joins Bill to talk about what he calls the Deep State, a hybrid of corporate America and the national security state, which is “out of control” and “unconstrained.” In it, Lofgren says, elected and unelected figures collude to protect and serve powerful vested interests. “It is … the red thread that runs through the history of the last three decades. It is how we had deregulation, financialization of the economy, the Wall Street bust, the erosion or our civil liberties and perpetual war,” Lofgren tells Bill.

Lofgren says the Deep State’s heart lies in Washington, DC, but its tentacles reach out to Wall Street, which Lofgren describes as “the ultimate backstop to the whole operation,” Silicon Valley and over 400,000 contractors, private citizens who have top-secret security clearances. Like any other bureaucracy, it’s groupthink that drives the Deep State.

Some (admittedly paranoid) Speculation on Benghazi

Russ Baker offers some speculation on who was behind the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi. I happen to have some speculations of my own about the incident, which I posted in a comment there and decided to reprint here:

1. Karl Rove showed genuine surprise that Obama won the election, instead of Romney. (I suspect that the Republican plot to win Ohio didn't work this time). From this I think we can assume that CIA director Petraeus had expected he would have a new boss after the election. 
2. The USS Cole incident happened shortly before the election in 2000, and served as the final preparatory attack that made the official story of 9/11 credible: Al Qaeda had been attacking us abroad for years, so it was to be expected that they would eventually attack us at home. 
3. Expecting that a Republican administration would be in place in 2013 (which would provide the needed protection from a real investigation), a new, larger false flag terrorist attack in the U.S. had been planned, to justify a total police state. 
4. Thus, the Benghazi attack was also a preparatory attack, modeling the USS Cole incident, that would have served as a way of making the official story of the coming 2013 attack look credible. 
5. But Obama unexpectedly won the election, and Petraeus's resignation was immediately demanded.
6. However, we can expect something similar in 2016.
